“Heritage and Diversity Concert Season 2023-24” HISPANIC / LATIN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH GALA CONCERT 2023 The Ontario Pops Orchestra is one of the most diverse professional orchestras in Canada. Music director maestro Carlos Bastidas and the musicians of the Ontario Pops Orchestra open the 2023-2024 Heritage and Diversity Concert Season with the Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month Gala Concert. This concert will be a celebration of Latin Culture with performances by the orchestra and special guests Flamenco Dancers Compañia Carmen Romero, Tango dancers Daniel & Ana, Viva Mexico Mariachi, Tenor Romulo Delgado, Yanet Campbell Secades and Felipe Luzuriaga performing Navarra for two violins and orchestra. When: Friday, October 27, 2023, at 8 pm Where: Glenn Gould Studio at 250 Front Street West, Toronto. Concert hall in the CBC building. The Ontario Pops Orchestra is one of the most diverse professional orchestras in Canada. Music director Carlos Bastidas and the musicians of the Ontario Pops Orchestra will perform their 4th concert of the 2022-2023 season. This concert will be a celebration of Multicultural Day in Canada with performances by the orchestra and special guest Giovanni Ruiz, performing on the Kena (Bamboo flute from the Andes).

Carmen RomeroCarmen Romero is a leading and award-winning established flamenco dance artist. Her experience in performance, education, production and adjudication, affirms her position in the national and international dance scene.

Yanet Campbell SecadesBorn in Camagüey, Cuba, violinist Yanet Campbell Secades is an accomplished soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. Her skilled and sensitive playing has enabled her to perform in some of the most important venues in Cuba, Europe, North America, and the Caribbean.
